Join Our Board

The SENA Board of Directors is made up of residents who are elected by the community at our annual meeting.

We strive for a balance of Standish and Ericsson representation as well as ensuring our board makeup represents the demographics of our neighborhoods. To best serve our community, SENA needs participation in our decision-making processes that reflects the diversity of our community.

We strongly encourage our BIPOC and Rental Housing neighbors to consider board service. Not only will you have an impact on the neighborhood, but it is a great way to meet other residents and develop new skills that come from serving on a nonprofit board.

This is an active, working board. Got an accounting background? Join the board! Are you really good at using social media for marketing? Join the board!

SENA committees plan events, engage with our city partners, connect neighbors with resources, and act as communication liaison between residents and other organizations.

If you're interested in helping with events, passing along information, or contributing your talents, email one of our committees or fill out the form below.

Being a SENA board member is a great honor and responsibility! Board members must attend monthly public meetings (held every second Monday from 7-8:30pm at Lake Hiawatha Rec Center), help plan events, weigh in on community decisions, and participate meaningfully on our at least one committee.

We encourage you to attend 2-3 of our public monthly board meetings before applying to become a board member. This will help you see what goes into being a board member and lets us get to know you as well!
